Terms and Conditions

Glenesk Wildlife (“the Provider”) accepts your (“the Customer”) booking under the following terms and conditions.

Bookings

Bookings can be made via phone or email and will be confirmed upon receipt of full payment.  Full payment can be made by cheque and must be made payable to Burghill Farms T/A Dalhousie Estates and sent to Dalhousie Estates, Dalhousie Estates Office, Brechin, DD9 6SG.

Cancellations and Refunds

The Provider will only cancel tours due to circumstances out-with our control, in this case a free transfer to an alternative date  will be offered or a full refund will be available.  Where the customer cancels the tour reservation then the effective date of cancellation will be the date the provider receives written notification of the cancellation. In the event of a cancellation, a charge as detailed below, shall be payable by the Customer.

Cancellation Charges

The following cancellation charges apply to all bookings:

When notification of cancellation is received less than 5 days prior to tour date – 50% cancellation charge
When notification of cancellation is received less than 48 hours in advance of tour departure time – 100% cancellation charge
If no notification of cancellation is received – the customer will be held liable for the full cost of the cancelled activity
We regret no refunds can be offered if the Customer is late for a tour.

Insurance

The Provider has full public liability insurance and passenger transport liability and will take every opportunity to reduce the risk involved in activities offered however, due to the nature of the activities there will always be some degree of risk involved. Whilst not mandatory, you may wish to arrange your own personal injury insurance and/ or holiday insurance. Please note, instructions from employees of the Provider must be obeyed at all times in order to minimize risk.

Force Majeure

The Provider does not accept any liability for loss, inconvenience or damage caused by war, threat of war, riot or civil commotion, terrorist or criminal activity, industrial disputes, natural disasters, fires, sickness, weather conditions, road or traffic conditions, temporary mechanical or electrical breakdown, explosion of or radioactive contamination from any nuclear facility or other events beyond the control of the Provider.

Reduction in Numbers

The Customer must inform the Provider in writing of any reduction in numbers 5 days prior to the tour, any reduction in numbers less than 5 days prior to the tour date will result in the Customer being held liable for the full cost of the reduction.

Minimum Numbers

Our minimum number on every outing is 2 full paying adults unless otherwise stated

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in any of our vehicles

Dogs

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in our vehicles

Children

We welcome children of all ages on our tours but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times

Weather

Tours will take place in all weather deemed safe in the opinion of the Provider. The  Provider reserves the right to alter routes should this be necessary in order to provide the best service possible in the given conditions. The above cancellation policy applies for tours cancelled by customers due to weather conditions.

Clothing

Sturdy footwear and suitable outdoor clothing suited to the Scottish climate must be worn. The Provider reserves the rights to refuse participation to customers who dressed inappropriately with inappropriate footwear.

Alcohol and Drugs

The Provider reserves the right to refuse participation to clients they believe are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, in such circumstances no refunds shall be given.

The Provider reserves the right to refuse participation to any Customer whose conduct or manner is likely to cause offence or upset to other passengers. In such cases full cancellation charges apply and the Provider shall have no further liability to that passenger.

Complaints Procedure

The Provider will do everything in their power to ensure every customer has a thoroughly enjoyable experience.  If any customer is dissatisfied with any part of the experience provided, the exact reasons for their feelings must be detailed in writing and given to the Provider. This document will then be taken into consideration by the Provider who will ensure a satisfactory outcome is reached for both parties.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase unless otherwise stated.

Cookies – we do not use cookies on our site.

Privacy Policy

What information do we collect ?

We collect information from you when you register on our website to purchase a gift voucher or when you make a booking by email or phone.  When purchasing on our website or when making a booking by phone or email you may be asked to enter your name, address, email address and mobile contact number.

What do we use your information for ?

To process transactions and respond to booking enquiries: when you purchase a voucher through our website or make a booking we will record specific data which will include your name, address, email address and phone number. We use this information to process the voucher you have purchased and to communicate information about your booking. This information will not be used for marketing.

Online payment: For gift voucher purchases we use a third party payment processor: Paypal – please see their Privacy document by clicking here.

We also log account and transaction history for accounting purposes.

Your information whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested by the customer.

How do we protect your information ?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety or your personal information when you access your personal information.

How long will Glenesk Wildlife keep your data?

We will keep your data for no longer than reasonably necessary.

How do we measure visits to our website?

We measure visits to the Glenesk Wildlife website through Google Analytics. This records what pages you view, how long you are on the site and what device you use to visit the site. It also records your location. All information is anonymous. You can learn more about Google Analytics and opt out here if you want to.

Glenesk Wildlife use Google Analytics to help improve the site.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties ?

We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business or serving you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies or protect ours or others rights, property or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses.
